As soon as Shoretel got us locked in on a contract, customer service abandoned us. Phone service was Third World quality and went down repeatedly, to which they always claimed no responsibility.
Finally, after a 2 day outage this week, during which we lost thousands of dollars in business, we cancelled the service. They immediately replied (fastest reply we ever got from them) with a nasty-gram email addressing me (business owner and check signer) as "Dear Decision Maker". They can take my money but can't even call me by my name.
"If, after confirming your cancellation of Services, you decide to alter the close out date you will be assessed a fee of $1000.00."
They also want to charge us another $4000 if we don't return a handset that we pay $8 per month for.
Total termination fees are $5509.41.
I'll never use Shoretel / M5 again.
